The noon start.
The water this year felt great. We had been swimming weeks prior and the temps were literally bone chilling. Race day temps were about 60 deg or slightly cooler. Buoys were a bit blown around and out of line.
Swim was rough, I had not exhaled properly. Built up CO2 had caused a side stitch shortly after the swim.
Less than a mile into the ride I had a pretty good side ache. This must be swim related.
